She Knows a Spot - The Girls only Expats Club

Events

I loooove artsy and cute activities. There’s just something magical about getting dressed up, sipping (and spilling)tea, and enjoying the little details in life.

I try my best to drag Joshua out on dates like that, but let’s be honest…men don’t always get it the way we do. Like, sometimes I’m all excited to dress up for a date, ready to live my Pinterest-worthy dream… and then Joshua walks out in shorts and a t-shirt. The frustration!

That’s when it hit me! If I was feeling this way, so many other girls had to understand too! And that’s how She Knows A Spot was born. *Sparkle Emoji*

It started as just an Instagram page where I could share girly recommendations (because trust me, I have so much to share) and little glimpses of my very girly life. I created this account imagining what Glinda’s Instagram would look like if she had one…..ohhh, to be popular and pink

When it came to my events, I had one goal: to make every girl feel special. I wanted to create experiences that would make girls walk in and literally say "WOW”. Because let’s be real, I had never been to an event like that myself… so I made it.

I could go on and on about how much effort I pour into my events, staying up late till unfabulous hours to make sure every little detail is perfect. But let’s be real, that’s boring to read. You just have to come experience it for yourself!

The latest event? Galentine’s!

Now, it wasn’t on Valentine’s Day (because, well… I’m engaged and have plans already. But girls can I just talk about how Joshua has NOT YET asked me to be his Valentines this year, rude!), it was still filled with love! I hosted it at The House of Bedu, an amazing Arabic restaurant in Mont Kiara and I went all out with the decorations! Think red, pink, and unapologetically girly.

It was a lunch + cookie decorating event, and honestly? It was amazing. Every girl got their own cookie decorating kit (which I made myself—RIP my manicured nails, but totally worth it), a cute goodie bag filled with candy (and fruit for the vegans!) roses and a delicious two-course meal so filling that most people had to take some home.

And all of that for RM140?! Yeah, it was a pretty solid event if I do say so myself.

So, if you're a girl in Malaysia looking for fun, cute activities (we’ve done batik painting, boozy brunches, and so much more!) come join us!

Stay hydrated and I will see you in the next event, Rachel
